new pixiepie darling

I have updated my pixiepie. I am now calling her the "pixiepie darling". It's just what I've been calling her and I like it a lot better. I think it's cute. At anyrate.. the little booger still needs some work, but she's very close to being complete. Here ya go:

She's cute.. I am afraid she might be a little high on the cute factor. Her wings are my next ordeal. no biggie.. I've ignored them and just slapped them together. I also made her feet wonky too.. one is longer than the other.. I think it gives her the added whimsy she needs.

I LOVE the skirt btw... it's my fav.



Okay. I would probably have more interesting blogs if I didn't post them at the very end of my evenings online.. they're the last thing I do.. I should really post earlier when I am more alert.. however.. considering I think only about two people look at this.. It's okay for the moment.

I LOVE this new piece I havmade tonight. I know it's not the best photo-- but it's not done either.

It's just a little postcard, but it's fabulous. I have been fighting with my sewing machine-- because I think it should stitch perfectly no matter how fast I move the fabric.. and of course it doesn't work that way. I rush it... Well tonight we made sweet love together. I slowed down.. and it hummed a beautiful song. Ahh.. sweet release.. this, of course, is after I damn near broke my free motion foot...but it's all good.

Anyhow.. It's a little skeleton hand that I just stitched on there.. I LOVE it so much! I've been wanting to try free motion drawing with my machine and I figured I'd gotten good enough at sewing with it that I finally would and I am THRILLED with the outcome.

Okay.. it is LATE and I have an overloaded day tomorrow.. that does not involve sewing because we have company staying the night. which is good too because that means i can play my all time favorite game----scatgoriessss!! Woot.

I am a night owl. Indeed. I like my little owl fellow that I made on paint. Cute huh?

He makes me giggle... maybe that's the lack of sleep.

Complete crazy day today. I thought I washed my cellphone, which could be true-- I leave it in the fridge all the time. I am surprised I've not put it in the dishwasher or something. It's funny-- I will leave a room with a remote.. Dustin ((hubby)) comes looking for it.. and I have ALL the remotes from the house in one room.

Moving on.

I believe I have my jewelry line worked out.. at least some pieces, I am ordering supplies tomorrow.. I will be SO GLAD when they're ordered because they are giving me a headache.

I want to do something very unique.. work with unexpected things for jewelry.. really, I want to do resin casts.. but I feel that is too much for me to deal with right now.. I need to get some fabric marl bed and ready for bubble jet setting..too much going on.. I will sketch some stuff up.

MY SCANNER IS BROKE. that's my main upset. I finally got the darn printer working.. now when i NEED to scan-- the damn scanner refuses to corporate. I suppose I will go borrow my dads tomorrow.. even though they live a block away, It's still a hassle when my perfectly good scanner is sitting right here--- not working. And yes, I've tried ALL the trouble shoot options.. I think Izzy ((Kitty)) might have something to do with it.

Need to sleep. need a scanner.. need a new phone because I've dropped mine too long. need to move overseas to get cool new nokia.

need to dream of pixiepies.

Pixiepie Darling

Okay.. this is my little pixiepie darling..except she is deformed.. look at her poor little arms. This is a mock up of course.. the *first* one was sad.. really. we've decided that her eyes and ears need to be made of something other than felt and I will use high quaility jersey and beautiful shimmer wing fabric. But this is cheap "learning" fabric.

Okay.. I love her. You will too once she's ready to be sent out. I am so weird.. I just want every child in the world to have one.

It's so odd selling my stuff. I've ALWAYS gotten such great joy out of giving it away.. it's hard to sell it you know. Like tonight I am chatting with some ladies from etsy on the forums and I just want to make them all something.. something specific to who they are.. who knows.

It's made me miss my friends! Sure I love the little place we live but I miss my people so much.. everyone is so spread out all over the US of A.

Okay, I am just going to ramble now and get off point...which I am not sure I had a point..

I love the late night.. love it. I simply cannot get into the habit of late night art making. Come August I will have a full time job and this land of la creative environment will be no more.

Anywhoo.. I cannot figure out these darn pixiepies! I love them however, and have created Pixie's little friends, flutterpies.. and tiny little buddies called pixiepods! Ohh yes.. and my sock monkey gone bad.. he returns as the villin in this little village. The funky monkey will appear to wreak havoc on the Pixies and their friends. I think I need to write a children's book. I was really very inspired by the movie Miss Potter.

Moving on. (I have my little pixie sitting beside me.. she's really quite cute despite all her criticism.. will post a darling picture tomorrow). I posted my first item on ETSY!! very exciting. I don't want to post more now because I need to space it out.. it's ohh so tempting to post everything!

Okay, so this blogging is not something I am into (not to mention this does not have my all time favorite font Century Gothic)--- but I figured since I've joined myspace, facebook, AND etsy.. the natural progression seems to be to blog here and post like crazy on flickr! Words are not my forte..which is why, I suppose, that I've never been successful having a blog before. My hope is that though my ramblings may be boring the pictures I post of my beautiful (to me) art will inspire you to read on. :)
